Easter Funday!

On Wednesday, everyone came to school in their onesies, or pyjamas, along with a gold coin donation for Autism Awareness. The school raised $405. Everyone enjoyed walking around in their pyjamas and there was a great variety of patterns and styles to be seen. Children got to go on a hunt with their buddies that they do reading with. Every team got given a sheet with five questions that you needed to answer, as well as a challenge to spot the golden egg poster, which was placed in the Pohutukawa Centre.

The questions were about things all over the school, for example, how many pieces of wood are on the bridge in the junior playground? How many people got their excellence award in 2013? You had to run all over the school to answer the questions, while also having a good chat with your buddy.

Lots of the teachers wore onesies too! Some people were frogs some, were dinosaurs and some were coloured patterns. It was awesome to see everyone in the school taking part in the event by bringing their pyjamas. A big thanks to the organisers for making it all happen and also to the school for bringing a gold coin donation to help Autism Awareness.

Today was the last day of Term One’s Technology, which we go to at Devon Intermediate. There were lots of different creations being made and everyone was excited to show off their finished products. In woodwork everyone was busy finishing three different projects: Block people, utensils and a naughts and crosses set. In Cooking, people made cakes and sausage rolls.
